Abstract:

Two documents received by Daniel W. Kissam, Jr. who graduated from the College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1815.  One is a letter probably from Abraham Hasbrouck, dated Kingston, NY, April 29, 1815, requesting Kissam's help in buying several specified surgical instruments; the other is an 1814 note from William Torrey asking if Kissam would let his son, John Torrey, borrow books from the New York Hospital library.  It is counter-signed by William Hammersley.
