Scope and Content:

This collection of records, programs, invitations, and other ephemera document commencements and class day ceremonies held by the Columbia University health sciences schools: The Vagleos College of Physicians & Surgeons, School of Nursing, College of Dental Medicine (formerly School of Dental and Oral Surgery), and Mailman School of Public Health. It also includes records of the defunct College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, originally the College of Pharmacy, though it was never located on the medical center campus.

The bulk consists of School of Nursing material containing not only programs, but records surrounding the planning and organization of commencement exercises and Alumnae Day, such as correspondence, expense reports, and guest lists, in addition to transcripts from the commencement ceremony and speeches.
