Plastic surgeon. Prior to his retirement in 1983, Dr. Ballantyne had been Chief of Reconstructive and Plastic Surgery Clinics at Roosevelt Hospital in New York. He taught on the faculty at P&S and was a visiting surgeon at Harlem Hospital. Served as President of the P&S Alumni Association, as Chairman of the Annual Fund Committee, and as a member of the Board of Directors, among other offices in the Association. Awarded the Alumni Association's Silver Medal in 1971.
