Professor of pediatrics and former director of the clinical research center at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Baker was honored by the American Diabetes Association in 1994 as Outstanding Clinician in Diabetes. Dr. Baker served with the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954.
