Memo:
              Professor emeritus of surgery at UCLA and researcher in vascular physiologic testing and imaging.   He was also a doctor at the Veterans Administration for more than 46 years as a surgeon, chief of vascular, and administrator.  After medical school, he served in the U.S. Public Health Service in Panama before training at Bellevue Hospital in New York, Tufts-New England Medical Center, and Henry Ford Hospital.  He joined UCLA in 1975 and was a member of several vascular societies, receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery in 2010.  List of interests and survivors.
