Pediatrician, died in New York City at the age of 56. After his graduation from the medical school, he studied at Heidelberg University and the Freiberg Children's Hospital, both in Germany. Served in World War II as lieutenant colonel in the Army Medical Corps, Dr. Bader had taught at Columbia for seventeen years.
