Amador, Raoul Arthur

Memo:
President of the League of Nations Council and Panama's Minister to Paris, died in Paris at age 59. Dr. Amador, son of the first President of Panama, was Consul General for Panama in New York for several years. His death was the occasion of widespread expressions of sorrow in social and diplomatic circles in Paris, especially in League of Nations quarters, where he had made many friends. He received a captaincy in the United States Army Medical Corps and served in the Spanish-American War with distinction in Cuba, being on of the small band of pioneers in the heroic campaign against yellow fever.
