Former member of the faculties of New York University School of Medicine and SUNY Stonybrook Medical School. Dr. Alsop served in World War II with the U.S. Army Medical Corps. A revered internist and one of the founders of the North Shore Medical Group in Huntington, New York. Dr. Alsop was the author of numerous works, including poetry and two children's books.
