Heart and lung specialist, since 1914 president of the board of managers of Manhattan State Hospital, died at Pass-a-Grille, Florida, where he had been on vacation, at age 74. Dr. Abrahams was professor of physical diagnosis at Post Graduate Hospital until 1925, when he gave up teaching. He continued to practice, however, and in recent years was a member of the staffs of Manhattan State Hospital, Unity Hospital and Rockaway Beach Hospital, and visiting physician at the Home of the Daughters of Jacob in the Bronx.
