When the COVID-19 pandemic dominated much of the world in 2020, cultural heritage institutions actively began documenting this experience. This included Columbia University. In May 2020, Archives and Special Collections (A&SC) in the Augustus C. Long Health Sciences Library submitted a call for personal stories and digital recordings to help document the experience in the CUIMC community.
